Mark Martin - 2009 Person of the Year
Every year, we look for the person who has made the biggest positive contribution to NASCAR – and pretty much every year, Mark Martin’s name comes up.
But no one set a higher bar for competition with class in 2009 than Martin. At 50, the four-time runnerup to the Cup championship returned to full-time racing and didn’t seem to lose a step. By naming him Person of the Year, we celebrate his incredible year – and his long journey to stardom.
